Job Description:
Journeyman Carpenters are highly skilled professionals responsible for executing carpentry tasks with precision. They interpret blueprints, measure, cut, and install materials to exact specifications. Working both independently and as part of a team, they ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely, maintaining high standards and adhering to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carpentry Expertise - Execute skilled carpentry tasks with precision, including measuring, cutting, and installing materials to high-quality standards.
2. Blueprint Interpretation - Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements and ensure accurate execution.
3. Safety Compliance - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
4. Team Collaboration - Work effectively with team members and communicate project progress to ensure smooth operations and timely completion.
5. Problem Solving - Identify and address issues on-site, adapting solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
6. Tool and Equipment Maintenance - Ensure that personal & borrowed tools and equipment are properly maintained and functioning to avoid disruptions in work.
7. Material Handling - Assist in the management of materials, including their safe handling, storage, and efficient use on-site.
Requirements
For employment consideration, you must meet the following basic requirements:
5+ years in installation of cabinets, countertops, doors, accessories, and architectural millwork.
Proficiently interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
Ability to keep accurate records of daily activities, extras, incidents, and consistent communication of job progression.
Reliable and on time for all shifts.
Able to successfully meet the physical demands including the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, as well as kneel, crouch, stand, and bend as needed daily.
Ability to work professionally with the public, independently, or with a team.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be insured.
